Life Care Center of Pueblo takes in veterans during wildfire crisis

Life Care Center of Pueblo, along with nearby University Park Care Center in Colorado recently assisted in the evacuation of 120 residents from Spanish Peaks Veterans Community Living Center in Walsenburg, Colorado, after wildfire conditions threatened their safety.

The fire, which started in Walsenburg, spread to more than 14,000 acres before the evacuation took place on June 29, 2018.

There were two types of seniors at the prom held at Life Care Center of Pueblo, Colorado, on March 11, 2016: high school seniors and senior citizens.

The event, held in the main dining/recreation area, was the brainchild of student council members at Pueblo South High School. They thought it would be nice for their students to engage with residents at a local skilled nursing facility, and they chose Life Care Center of Pueblo because the mother of one of the students works there.
